William
J. Cari
President
Bill previously
served as a Director and Vice President of The Irwin Foundation
before assuming the office of President. Over the years, Bill
has served as the Foundation's representative for various public
and private events, and he uses his 20 plus years in interactive
writing and design to help direct The Irwin Foundation's marketing
and fundraising activities. He also provides technical expertise
to the Board in the use of multimedia to promote the ultimate
goal of the Foundation as directed by its founders. Bill also
serves as the initial point-of-contact for all inquiries made
through the Foundation's website.
Dale
Ihrie
Director and Attorney for the Foundation
Dale is a
partner with the law firm Hoste, Bejin & Ihrie, P.C. in Mt.
Clemens, MI. Dale is admitted to practice law in the State of
Michigan and Federal Courts and is a member of the Macomb County
Bar Association. Dale had a longstanding professional relationship
with former Foundation Vice President and Director Russell M.
Paquette, Esq. and effective October, 2009 he assumed Mr. Paquette’s
duties as director and attorney for the Foundation.
Sharon
L. Potter
Director and Secretary/Treasurer of the Foundation
Sharon is
a Legal Assistant and an Associate Member of the State Bar of
Michigan. She was intimately involved in drafting the estate plans
for Dr. Claire Irwin and Dr. James Irwin, and later in administering
their estates after their deaths. Sharon was also instrumental
in establishing The Irwin Foundation as a legal entity and in
preparing and filing the federal and state documents required
for incorporation of the Irwin Foundation as a charitable, tax-exempt
foundation. Sharon manages the day-to-day operation of The Irwin
Foundation. She is responsible for maintaining the official records
of the Foundation, filing the required annual reports and tax
returns with the federal and state governments, and performing
related services that contribute to the successful operation of
the Foundation.
